Description
Learning objective
With this training, you will get started in server-side programming with PHP.
You will familiarise yourself with basic programming techniques and PHP syntax. You will practice working with variables, operators, arrays, external files, strings and date functions.
After the introduction to working with sessions, you will write your first web application.
Intended audience
- Blind users and users getting started in web programming.
Prerequisite knowledge
- Good knowledge of HTML. The HTML + CSS training is designed to meet these exact requirements.
- JavaScript skills. The JavaScript training is tailored exactly to these requirements.
General information
Training details
- One-on-one training at your location with methodology suitable for the blind.
- Duration and dates flexible by arrangement.
Operating system and software
- Microsoft Windows / Windows Server (all versions)
- Screen reader software: COBRA or JAWS (all versions)
- HTML editor (e.g. Notepad++, Visual Studio Code or Eclipse) and the web browsers Edge and Mozilla Firefox
- An Apache web server with PHP and MySQL will be post-installed on site if required
