Description
Learning objective
After the training, you will be able to design and create relational databases and to evaluate and edit them using the query language SQL.
A theoretical introduction is followed by a workshop in which you will use the PHPMyAdmin tool to manage your databases.
Then you get down to business: you write complex SQL queries, you create views, triggers and stored procedures and you learn to use database transactions in practice.
Intended audience
- Blind developers who program database-driven applications.
- Blind webmasters who maintain MySQL-based web applications.
Prerequisite knowledge.
- Sure handling of the PC in general. The matching training: IT foundation course
- PHP - Fundamentals of Web Programming are desirable but not essential.

Training details
- One-on-one training at your location with methodology suitable for the blind.
- Duration and dates flexible by arrangement.
Operating system and software
- Microsoft Windows / Windows Server (all versions)
- Screen reader software: COBRA or JAWS (all versions)
- HTML editor (e.g. Notepad++, Visual Studio Code or Eclipse) and the web browsers Edge and Mozilla Firefox
- An Apache web server with PHP, MySQL or MariaDB and PHPMyAdmin will be post-installed on site if required.
