Learning objective

This course provides basic knowledge on the topic of data security and can be conducted as an awareness-raising training measure for employees.
You will learn to recognise and prevent dangers and threats to information security. A number of useful tips for everyday IT round off the introduction to the topic.
After the course, you will be able to recognise and avoid risks to data security in general and risks in the workplace in particular, and avert potential damage.

• Basic requirements for information security, risks, vulnerabilities and appropriateness of measures, overview of information worth protecting.
• Hazards and threats
• Hackers and hacker motives, attack scenarios, detecting attacks, social engineering, viruses and other malware, information leakage.
• Protective measures
• Multi-layered protection and recommendations for practice.

• Users who work with information worth protecting in their everyday IT work.
• The knowledge imparted is applicable in the workplace as well as in the private environment.

Prerequisites and previous knowledge needed
