Description
Learning objectives
The training provides a sound and basic introduction to the world of database management systems (DBMS) with SQL Server 2016. After the training, you will be able to install, set up and administer Windows SQL Server in the essential areas. You will know how to set up BI projects with Analysis Services, Reporting Services or Integration Services.
More advanced topics, such as database design, writing Transact-SQL queries (T-SQL Queries) or Server Analysis Services are only touched upon, as these areas could be the subject of separate trainings, such as the training SQL Fundamentals and Database Design.
Intended audiences
- Database administrators upgrading from an older SQL Server version to SQL Server 2016
- Network administrators who are new to SQL Server administration
- Developers programming database applications for SQL Server
Recommended previous knowledge
- Previous experience in configuring and operating Windows server systems
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking
- Knowledge regarding the construction of databases is helpful, but not mandatory
